STORY
Nissan's front-drive light van arrived in October 1982, taking over from the separate Sunny, Pulsar, Violet and Auster vans and selling under each channel's own name until the AD Van title was unified in May 1988. The Y10 of October 1990 added a passenger-registered AD Wagon, and the taller AD MAX, 1,810 mm high against about 1,500, followed in April 1992; the Wagon merged into the Wingroad in May 1996. The Y11 of June 1999 ran alongside its successor until December 2008, and the Y12 was announced on 20 December 2006 for a January 2007 launch beside the better-equipped AD Expert. Nissan relabelled the van NV150 AD in December 2016, then put the AD name back in May 2021. Nissan Shatai built it, and the same van went to Mazda as the Familia Van and to Subaru as the Leone Van from 1994 and to Mitsubishi as the Lancer Cargo from 2008. Production ended in October 2025.
