STORY
Nissan launched the Elgrand in Japan in May 1997 as a large passenger minivan sold in two forms, the Caravan Elgrand and the Homy Elgrand. The two were unified under the single name Elgrand in 1999, and a 3.5-litre V6 was added to the range in 2000. The second generation, the E51, arrived in May 2002 with a range that included the 3.5-litre VQ35DE V6, and the third, the E52, followed in 2010. No new generation followed until the all-new model with third-generation e-POWER went on sale in Japan on 16 July 2026, priced from about 6.9 million yen.
