STORY
The Langley was the Pulsar sold through a different dealer chain. Nissan ran separate dealer chains in Japan, and this car wore a different name in each: Pulsar at Nissan Cherry Store, Langley at Nissan Prince Store, and from June 1982 Liberta Villa at Nissan Store, the Bluebird network. The first Langley appeared in June 1980 with headlamp lenses taken from the facelifted C210 Skyline. The N12 of June 1982 came as a hatchback only, where its sisters also had a sedan, and gained the 115 PS E15ET turbo in May 1983. The N13 of October 1986 strengthened the Skyline link, advertised as Skyline's Mini, and its new sedan carried round quad tail lamps in the Skyline manner. Triple-viscous full-time four-wheel drive followed in January 1987, a system Nissan had put into production on the Pulsar the previous May. All three names ended in August 1990, when the Pulsar went N14 alone.
