STORY
Nissan changed the Leopard's purpose with every generation. The F30 went on sale on 30 September 1980 as a Bluebird-derived personal car in two-door and four-door hardtop form, beside a Cherry Store sister on different headlamps, the Leopard TR-X; an L20E turbo joined on 28 July 1981, and the 300 Turbo Grand Edition of June 1984 brought a VG30ET V6 of 230 PS gross. The F31 of February 1986 shared its basic design with the R31 Skyline and came only as a coupe; from 1989 North America bought it as the Infiniti M30, convertible included, which Japan never got. In June 1992 it became a Cedric and Gloria-based saloon, the Leopard J.Ferie, sold in North America as the Infiniti J30. The fourth, from March 1996, was a Y33 Cedric and Gloria hardtop, given the direct-injection VQ30DD in October 1997; Nissan calls it the last to carry the name: production ended in June 1999, selling in December 2000.
