STORY

The Sunny was launched in Japan in 1966 as the B10, a 1.0-litre car whose name came from a nationwide public naming contest. The line started with a two-door sedan and a station wagon, and abroad it was marketed as the Datsun 1000. A four-door sedan joined the range in 1967. The second generation, the B110, replaced it in 1970 with 1.2-litre engines, one rated at 68 PS, and came as two-door and four-door sedans, a wagon and a coupe.
