The Pino was a Suzuki Alto with Nissan badges, supplied under an OEM deal after Suzuki revised the Alto in December 2006, and it went on sale across Japan on 22 January 2007 as the fourth kei car in the range after the Moco, Clipper and Otti. The hardware was Suzuki's 658 cc three-cylinder; Nissan's contribution was a front end designed to echo the Moco and Otti, nine body colours and a milk-caramel seat fabric printed with dice whose pips read 36524, the designer's shorthand for shining together 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. The launch release quoted 21.0 km/L for the two-wheel-drive three-speed automatic and a minimum turning radius of 4.1 metres it called among the best in the class, against a target of 2,500 cars a month. The name was taken from Pinocchio. Nissan dates the end of selling to November 2009.
