STORY

The Serena began as the Vanette Serena (C23) in June 1991, a full model change of the Vanette Coach. The second generation (C24) came in 1999 and the third (C25) in 2005. The e-POWER hybrid was added to the fifth generation and went on sale in Japan on 1 March 2018. The sixth generation (C28) was announced on 28 November 2022 with a new 1.4-litre e-POWER engine and, on the top Luxion grade, ProPILOT 2.0, which allows hands-off driving at 40 km/h and above on a single expressway lane.
