STORY
The Silvia name went back to the hand-finished CSP311 coupe of 1965, and the S110 went on sale in Japan on 13 March 1979, reaching the United States as the Datsun 200SX while Nissan Motor stores offered a sister called Gazelle at home until 1986, distinguished by its own grille, lamps and brightwork. The S12 arrived in August 1983 and kept the 200SX name abroad. The S13 of May 1988 took the ninth Japan Car of the Year award and the Good Design Grand Prix, then reached North America as the 240SX and Europe as the 200SX. After the S14 of October 1993 came the S15 of January 1999, whose SR20DET gave 250 PS with the manual gearbox and 225 with the automatic, exported only to Australia and New Zealand and badged 200SX once more. Japanese production ended in 2002.
