STORY
These are the racing GT-Rs of the Japanese GT Championship, separate from the road Skyline GT-R. Production of the R34 road car ended in 2002, yet the R34-based GT500 car was still racing in 2003 and took the drivers' title with Satoshi Motoyama and Michael Krumm. By then it ran the VQ30DETT V6. For 2004 Nissan replaced the GT-R with the Fairlady Z, which kept that engine and the rear transaxle layout and won the title again.
