The Trade was Spanish. A cab-over van and chassis cab designed in Spain, it went into production at Avila in 1976 as the Avia 1250 and the Ebro F260, replacing the Ebro F100 and F108, and Nissan's takeover of Motor Iberica between 1979 and 1982 changed its badge rather than its design. A 1984 update brought right-hand drive, and British buyers got it from 1985 as the Ebro Trade; the Nissan Trade proper reached the road in 1987 as the first Nissan-badged vehicle the Avila plant built, with a reworked cab, a longer nose and two diesels, the A428II and the Japanese-designed LD20II E. A facelift by Francisco Podadera followed late in 1991, about 21,000 vehicles were built in 1992, and a 1997 model year brought Euro II compliance with the 2.3-litre LD23 at 75 CV and the turbocharged 3.0 BD30Ti at 106 CV. Chassis cabs gave way to the Cabstar E in 1998 and the van finished in 2001.
