STORY
Versa was the name Nissan North America announced on 28 September 2005 for a car most other markets knew otherwise: in Mexico, Japan and China the same C11 was sold as the Tiida, as Nissan's own release said. The hatchback reached United States showrooms in July 2006 from $12,550, built at Aguascalientes in Mexico, and ran there through 2012. The N17 sedan arrived in August 2011, and the Versa line outsold every other American subcompact that month, while the hatchback role passed in 2013 to the Versa Note, the Japanese Note under an American badge. Nissan unveiled the N18 on 12 April 2019 at a Florida music festival. The United States lost the Versa after the 2025 model year; Mexico, where it passed a million sales, began building a restyled one on 23 February 2026.
