STORY

Nissan announced the X-Trail on 19 October 2000 and sold it from 13 November, offered as a practical four-wheel-drive car at two million yen for the volume grade, with the new ALL MODE 4x4 system and a washable boot board. The T31 followed on 22 August 2007, and a clean-diesel 20GT joined it in Japan in September 2008. From the third generation one car wore two names: Nissan gave the T32 its world premiere at Frankfurt on 10 September 2013, stated that the United States would get the same car as the Rogue, and sold it in Japan from 16 December as the first vehicle on the Renault-Nissan CMF architecture, with a seven-seat three-row version newly added. Canada had sold the X-Trail only for the 2005 and 2006 model years, while Mexico kept the name. The T33, shown in Shanghai on 19 April 2021 and launched in Japan on 20 July 2022, was e-POWER only there.
