STORY

The Alero was Oldsmobile's compact coupe and sedan from 1999 to 2004. It was built on GM's N-body platform and replaced both the Achieva and the Cutlass. Engines ranged from the 2.4-litre Twin Cam four, later replaced by the 2.2-litre Ecotec, to the 3.4-litre V6 in the GL and GLS. It was the last Oldsmobile: after GM decided in 2000 to end the brand, the final car, an Alero, was built at Lansing, Michigan, on 29 April 2004.
