STORY

The Custom Cruiser was Oldsmobile's full-size station wagon, built on GM's rear-wheel-drive B-body platform. It was made in three body generations: 1971-1976, a downsized car from 1977 to 1990, and a final aerodynamic model for 1991-1992. The V8 grew from 455 cu in in the early 1970s to 350 and 307 cu in versions later, and the 1991 car used a 5.0-litre (305 cu in) V8, with a 5.7-litre (350 cu in) V8 available for 1992. The last wagons shared their body with the Chevrolet Caprice and Buick Roadmaster and had woodgrain trim and a third-row seat.
