STORY
The Delta 88 was the volume model of Oldsmobile's 88 line, a full-size car whose name dates from 1965. It was built on GM's rear-wheel-drive B-body platform with Rocket V8 power in various displacements, with the 455 cu in V8 at the top of the range in the early 1970s. The car was downsized for 1977, and a 5.7-litre diesel V8 was offered from 1978 to 1985. The name moved to the front-wheel-drive H-body in 1986.
