The P4 was Opel's small car of 1935 to 1937. A 1.1-litre four-cylinder gave 17 kW (23 PS) and about 85 km/h. The car started at 1,650 Reichsmark, had a wood-and-steel two-door body on a ladder frame, was 3.34 m long, carried 25 litres of fuel and weighed from 755 kg. Opel built 65,864 of them between September 1935 and the end of 1937. The first Kadett, shown in 1936, then took over the entry-level role, and the P4 was discontinued after two years.
