STORY

The Vivaro is Opel's mid-sized van. The first generation arrived in 2001 as a rebadged Renault Trafic II, built under an agreement between Renault, Opel and Nissan, and Nissan sold the same van as the Primastar. The Trafic itself dated from 1980. Production was at Luton in England, with some bodies, including high-roof versions, coming from Nissan's plant in Barcelona. In 2014 the second generation again followed the new Trafic. The Vivaro should not be confused with the Renault Trafic or the Nissan Primastar, which keep their own names.
