STORY
The Zonda Cinque, revealed in 2009, was conceived as a road-legal distillation of the track-only Zonda R. It was built to satisfy the demand of five wealthy enthusiasts, which gave it the name "Cinque," Italian for "five". The coupe was limited to just five examples, each a genuine work of art intended for the road.
The Cinque borrowed heavily from the Zonda R's racing repertoire: a carbon-titanium (Carbotanium) monocoque, aggressive aerodynamics with a wider front splitter and adjustable rear wing, and a 7.3-litre Mercedes-AMG V12 producing around 678 CV. A companion Cinque Roadster followed, also limited to five units. Together they represented the Zonda at its most extreme and exclusive, blurring the line between road car and track weapon.
