STORY

The Axia is Perodua's entry-level A-segment hatchback, launched in 2014 as the successor to the Viva and the first car produced at Perodua's Global Manufacturing plant. Built on a Daihatsu-derived platform and powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine, it became Malaysia's most affordable new car and a big sales success. The second generation of 2023 moved to the DNGA platform, with a longer wheelbase and updated safety technology.
