STORY

The Myvi is Perodua's flagship supermini and was Malaysia's best-selling car for much of its life. It was launched in 2005 and derived from the Daihatsu Boon/Sirion. Its practical five-door body, efficient engines and low price made it the usual choice for Malaysian buyers across three generations. The current third generation, launched in 2017, was engineered largely in-house and brought Perodua's A.S.A. active-safety technology to the mass market.
