STORY

The 1007 grew out of the Sésame concept shown at the 2002 Paris Motor Show, and it kept that car's main idea: powered sliding side doors. The production model, built at Peugeot's Poissy plant, went on sale in 2005 with two electric sliding doors, and its cabin could be restyled with 12 interchangeable trim and colour packs. PSA had forecast 150,000 to 200,000 cars a year, but the total came to roughly 120,000 to 125,000, and production ended in 2009.
