STORY

The first 208 took over in 2012 from the 207, which had been on sale since 2006. The second generation has been sold in Europe since October 2019, with an electric e-208 version, and in March 2020 a jury of 60 journalists from 23 European countries voted it European Car of the Year. It was Peugeot's sixth win in the contest. By then nearly 110,000 customers in Europe had ordered the car, and electric versions made up 15 percent of those orders.
