STORY

Peugeot launched the 306 in February 1993, first as a hatchback. In 1994 a four-door saloon and a cabriolet joined it, the cabriolet designed and built by Pininfarina. The model was restyled in 1997, the year an estate appeared. The Maxi rally version, rated at 285 PS (209 kW), marked the brand's return to rallying in 1996. Hatchback production ended in 2001 and the estate followed in 2002. Peugeot counts nine sites worldwide that built the model before the line closed.
