STORY

The Peugeot 4008 was a compact crossover on the Mitsubishi ASX platform, sold next to its twin, the Citroen C4 Aircross. Peugeot showed it at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012, and French prices were published on 29 March 2012 ahead of sales in April. In France it came only as a four-wheel-drive diesel, either a 1.6 HDi with 115 hp or a 1.8 HDi with 150 hp, priced from 33,700 euros in Allure trim. Sales were far below the Citroen's: about 7,250 registrations in France against roughly 26,000 for the C4 Aircross. French press reported that production of both cars ended in April 2017, and the second-generation 3008 replaced it in the range.
