The 408 saloon is a different car from the 408 crossover shown in 2022. It launched in China in 2010 as a C-segment saloon built with Dongfeng at Wuhan, and the first generation was later built in Argentina, Malaysia and Russia, ending in Argentina in 2021. A second generation arrived in China in 2014 on the EMP2 platform and received a China-only refresh in 2022. The European 408 of 2022, built at Mulhouse, shares only the name, so this page covers the saloon and the crossover has its own page.
