STORY

The 504 saloon was launched in 1968 and won European Car of the Year in 1969, a year after its debut. Peugeot added the Pininfarina-styled coupe and cabriolet at Geneva in 1969. Assembly in Africa outlived the European run by decades: Nigeria was still building 504s in the 2000s: Autoblog says until 2006, while HDmotori dates the last 504 to 2005 without naming a country. The two-door cars, styled by Pininfarina, carry the 504 name but are listed on their own page.
