STORY

The first 508 was presented at the Paris show in October 2010 and built at Rennes, with sales starting in early 2011. The range ran from a 112 CV 1.6 e-HDi to a 204 CV 2.2 HDi, and a diesel-electric HYbrid4 of about 200 hp was announced for 2012. The second generation, shown at Geneva in 2018, moved to a low fastback shape with frameless door glass, which designer Pierre-Paul Mattei called the only way to keep the car low and still easy to enter. In September 2020 Peugeot revealed the 508 Peugeot Sport Engineered hybrid with 360 hp and 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
