STORY

Peugeot showed the 607 at the Frankfurt show in 1999 as the replacement for the 605, and it stayed in production until 2010. Petrol engines included a 2.2-litre four and a 3.0-litre V6, and the diesels included 2.2 and 2.7 HDi units, with 2.0-litre petrol and HDi versions as well. The big addition was the 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 HDi diesel with 204 PS (150 kW) and 440 Nm, the first diesel V6 in Peugeot's history according to Caradisiac and Motor1. It came with the restyled 607 of November 2004.
