STORY

The Arrow was a Mitsubishi-built two-door hatchback sold by Plymouth dealers from the 1976 model year. It was a captive import meant to compete with Datsun and Toyota. Mitsubishi sold the same car as the Celeste, and Canada got it as the Dodge Arrow. The base engine was a 1.6-litre four. The optional 2.0-litre Silent Shaft four, a balance-shaft design, was available on the GS and GT. For 1979 Plymouth added the Fire Arrow package with a 2.6-litre engine. The hatchback was sold through 1980, and the front-drive Champ arrived in 1979 as the other small Mitsubishi-built Plymouth. An Arrow pickup, sold from 1979 to 1982, is a separate vehicle.
