STORY
Fury began in 1956 as a sub-series of the Plymouth Belvedere, a limited-edition, high-performance hardtop. By 1958 the Golden Commando option offered a 350-cubic-inch V8 with an advertised 305 hp. Plymouth then made do with downsized B-bodies until 1965, when the Fury returned on the larger C-body, with the Sport Fury at the top of the range. For 1975 the Fury name moved to the intermediate B-body line, and the big C-body car was renamed Gran Fury. The mid-size Fury lasted through 1978, which was its final year, and Plymouth had no large car in 1979.
