STORY

Plymouth added the Scamp to the Valiant line for 1971 as a two-door hardtop. Dodge's Dart Swinger supplied the body, Plymouth the Valiant front sheet metal and badging, both on Chrysler's A-body platform, so the car was in effect a Swinger with a Valiant nose. The Scamp ended with the 1976 model year, when the Valiant and Dart lines gave way to the Volare and Aspen. The name came back for 1983 on a front-wheel-drive pickup, a rebadged Dodge Rampage that Plymouth marketed for that model year only.
