STORY
The Sundance was Plymouth's version of Chrysler's P-body compact hatchback, introduced for the 1987 model year as a twin of the Dodge Shadow. The Plymouth came as a three-door or five-door hatchback, and only the Shadow also offered a convertible. Power started with a 2.2 liter four-cylinder, with a 2.5 added by 1988, with turbocharged versions in the early years. For 1992 (some sources say 1993) the Duster name returned on a performance Sundance with a Mitsubishi-sourced 3.0 liter V6 rated at 141 hp. Sundance and Shadow production ended in 1994, when the Neon replaced them.
