STORY
The Turismo was Plymouth's twin of the Dodge Charger, a front-wheel-drive hatchback coupe on Chrysler's L platform built at Belvidere, Illinois. The Turismo name appeared on the 2.2 sport version of the Plymouth TC3, rated at 84 hp, and became the car's regular name for 1983. A sporty Turismo Duster with rear spoiler and stripes was added from 1985. Unlike the Charger, the Plymouth never received the turbocharged engine. Production ended after 1987, and the Sundance and Shadow took over the small-car role.
