STORY

The Polestar 2 launched in 2019 as the brand's first fully electric, high-volume car and its most important model so far. It is built on Volvo's CMA platform and shares its silhouette with the Volvo XC40/C40. It was among the first cars to run Google's native Android Automotive operating system with built-in Google apps. Offered in single- and dual-motor forms, it was a direct rival to the Tesla Model 3. A significant update in 2023 made the base car rear-wheel drive and improved range and efficiency.
