STORY
The Pontiac Matiz was the Mexican-market badge on Daewoo's Matiz city car, which began production in 1998 as the M100 with styling based on Giugiaro's Lucciola concept. GM took over Daewoo in 2002, and a facelifted M200 followed in 2005. In Mexico the car sold as the Pontiac Matiz G2. The 2006 version, shown in November 2005, had a 1.0 L engine of 65 hp and a five-speed manual. GM de Mexico marked five years of the Pontiac Matiz in Mexico in June 2008. The Chevrolet Matiz that replaced the Pontiac badge was sold there until 2015.
