Sunfire GT 2.4 Twin Cam

STORY

The Sunfire replaced the Sunbird for the 1995 model year as a J-body compact sharing its styling with the Chevrolet Cavalier. It came as a coupe, sedan and convertible, built in Lordstown, Ohio, in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, and (convertibles only) Lansing, Michigan. Engines included a 2.2 L OHV four, a 2.3 L Quad 4 of 150 hp in 1995, a 2.4 L twin-cam of 150 hp for the GT from 1996, and a 140 hp 2.2 L Ecotec from 2002. A 2000 update added plastic cladding, and a restyle followed in 2003. The last sedan was built on June 22, 2005, and the G5 replaced the car.
