963 RSP

963 (2023) · 2025–2025Limited · 1

A single road-legal 963, built for Roger S. Penske and named after his initials, in Martini Silver over tan leather and Alcantara, following the 1975 Count Rossi 917 as precedent. Covered wheel arches, raised ride height, softest damper settings, pump fuel and a horn made it street legal for its reveal at Le Mans in June 2025. It is a one-off and was not raced.

STORY

The 963 is Porsche's current flagship racer and the standard-bearer for its return to the top class of endurance racing. Built to the LMDh rules that let it compete for overall wins at both Le Mans and the Daytona 24 Hours, it entered competition in 2023.

Developed with Porsche Penske Motorsport, it uses a twin-turbo V8 with a spec hybrid system, and its white, red and black livery deliberately echoes the great 956 and 962 that dominated a generation earlier. The lineage is worn with pride.

In January 2024 the 963 delivered Porsche's first overall Daytona 24 Hours victory since 2003, and the programme has since chased success across the WEC and IMSA, re-establishing Porsche among the front-runners of modern prototype racing.
