The Story

Why the 975 RSE matters

The 975 RSE is Porsche's car for the fourth generation of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, presented on 20 April 2026 and designed for the 2026/27 season. It replaces the 99X Electric, which finished its last race in August 2026 and has since joined the Porsche Museum collection.

Chassis, aerodynamics, tyres and battery are standard parts for all teams. Porsche develops the rear axle itself: motor, transmission, differentials, driveshafts and cooling. The car produces 450 kW in normal mode and 600 kW in Attack Mode, with permanent all-wheel drive, and Porsche cites up to 150 percent more downforce than the Gen3 Evo.

Track testing with factory drivers Nico Müller and Pascal Wehrlein began in November 2025, and the car is due to race from December 2026.
