The Mission S had its world premiere on 15 October 2026 on a pier in Queens, New York, the spot where the first pictures of the mid-engined 550 Spyder were taken in 1953. It was shown as part of the "Sportwagenschmiede 35" strategy. It has torpedo fenders and round headlights from the 911, a flat front and "car-in-car" rear from the 911 GT1, a roofline from the 959, a cooling solution inspired by the 917's radiator fan and wheels based on the 928's dial design. Inside, five tube-style gauges sit around a needle tachometer. There is no fixed centre or passenger display, and a retractable MagSafe smartphone holder serves as the screen. Colours are Firn White Metallic, Light Red Metallic and Black Chrome outside, and Special Black inside. Tobias Sühlmann, Head of Style Porsche, led the design. Porsche has not published dimensions, powertrain or output, and the car will not be built in this form. It previews a series mid-engined super sports car planned as a permanent addition to the range.
The Porsche Mission S is a 2026 vision model, a mid-engined super sports car study that previews the brand's evolved design identity and a permanent super sports car line above the 911.
