Proton built the Arena at Shah Alam, Selangor, from 2002 as a two-door coupe utility. It is the only pickup Proton has made. Under the name Jumbuck it was also sold in the UK, Taiwan and Australia.
The Proton Arena is a small pickup built in Malaysia on the platform of the Proton Wira, which is derived from the Mitsubishi Lancer. It has a 1.5-litre Mitsubishi-sourced petrol engine with a five-speed manual gearbox, and it was sold as the Jumbuck in the UK, Australia and Taiwan.
