STORY

The Inspira, launched in 2010, was a rebadged tenth-generation Mitsubishi Lancer built under licence. It marked a return to Proton's Mitsubishi roots for a C-segment sedan. It was offered with Mitsubishi's 1.8 and 2.0 4B1-series engines paired to a CVT or manual gearbox. It served as a stopgap until Proton's own Preve arrived.
