STORY

The Perdana was Proton's flagship executive sedan, launched in 1995 as a rebadged seventh-generation Mitsubishi Eterna/Galant with 2.0-litre power. A long-running V6 variant kept it in service for years, and it was widely used as a Malaysian government official car. A second generation arrived in 2013, again based on a Honda Accord under a licensing deal, before the nameplate was retired.
