STORY

The Persona name first appeared on export Wiras, but the 2007 Persona was a home-grown C-segment sedan derived from the Gen-2 hatchback, offering a big boot at a low price. A wholly new second generation arrived in 2016 on the Iriz platform with Proton's VVT engines, and it was substantially updated after Geely's takeover. It has consistently been one of Malaysia's best-selling sedans.
