STORY

The Saga was Proton's very first car, launched in 1985 as a rebadged Mitsubishi Lancer Fiore and a symbol of Malaysia's national automotive ambition. The original had an extraordinarily long life, to 2008, followed by the home-grown BLM second generation and later models on the Iriz platform. It remains Proton's best-known nameplate and a perennial best-seller.
