Avantime 3.0 V6 24V

STORY

The Avantime was a coupe-MPV with two long side doors that Matra built for Renault at Romorantin. A concept was shown at the Geneva motor show in 1999, and the production car went on sale in 2001 with a 2,946 cc V6 rated at 207 PS, later joined by a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel. Sales were poor: about 5,000 cars found buyers in 2002. Matra closed the Romorantin plant in 2003, which ended production, and 8,557 cars had been built by then.
