STORY

The first Clio was unveiled at the 1990 Paris Motor Show and was named European Car of the Year for 1991. In 1993 the Clio Williams added a 2.0-litre 16-valve engine rated at 150 PS to the range. The third generation won the same European title again for 2006, which Renault counts as a second win for the name. The fifth generation, the Clio V, arrived in 2019, and Renault describes it as the first electrified Clio, with a hybrid powertrain added to the line.
