Clio RS 197 Cup

Clio III (X85) · 2007–2009FWDHatchback

Hardware-distinct, not a trim badge: Cup chassis (lower ride height, stiffer springs/dampers) plus a decontented, lighter cabin - the settings were first seen on the limited Clio RS 197 F1 Team and became standard on the Cup. Same F4R engine output as the RS 197. Kerb weight, 0-100 km/h and top speed not quoted in a priority source, left null.

STORY

The Renault Clio, launched in 1990 to replace the Renault 5, became one of Europe's best-selling superminis and a two-time European Car of the Year winner (1991 and 2006). Across five generations it has spawned celebrated hot hatches, including the Clio Williams, the mid-engined Clio V6, and the Clio RS line tuned by Renault Sport. It remains Renault's most important high-volume model and a benchmark in the B-segment.
