Clio RS 200 Cup

Clio III (X85) · 2009–2012FWDHatchback

Cup chassis version of the RS 200: dampers about 15 per cent stiffer than the Cup setting of the 197, thicker anti-roll bars, lower ride height. evo's spec panel lists 197 bhp (200 ch) @ 7100 rpm, 159 lb ft (215 Nm) @ 5400 rpm, 1204 kg and 141 mph (227 km/h). evo's 6.6 s is a 0-60 mph figure, not 0-100 km/h, so zero_to_100_s is left null; Renault's own claim for the 200 family is 6.9 s to 62 mph.

STORY

The Renault Clio, launched in 1990 to replace the Renault 5, became one of Europe's best-selling superminis and a two-time European Car of the Year winner (1991 and 2006). Across five generations it has spawned celebrated hot hatches, including the Clio Williams, the mid-engined Clio V6, and the Clio RS line tuned by Renault Sport. It remains Renault's most important high-volume model and a benchmark in the B-segment.
