STORY

The Renault Clio, launched in 1990 to replace the Renault 5, became one of Europe's best-selling superminis and a two-time European Car of the Year winner (1991 and 2006). Across five generations it has spawned celebrated hot hatches, including the Clio Williams, the mid-engined Clio V6, and the Clio RS line tuned by Renault Sport. It remains Renault's most important high-volume model and a benchmark in the B-segment.
