STORY

Renault launched the first Espace in 1984, and it started slowly: in France only nine cars were sold in the first month. The fourth generation arrived in 2002 and the fifth in 2015. Renault announced the sixth generation at the end of March 2023 as a five- or seven-seat SUV-style car on the Alliance's CMF-CD platform. Its E-Tech full hybrid pairs a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine of about 130 PS with two electric motors for a system output of about 200 hp (146 kW).
